2022 was an early vintage which is indicative of the low yields we saw in the vineyard following a dry winter. This resulted in concentrated berries with high levels of tannin. A warm spell in late August/ early September was punctuated by unusual rainfall. Fortunately, Cabernet Sauvignon is so well suited to these conditions that the vines proceeded to ripen without incident, resulting in balanced wines with concentration and freshness.
Aromas of blackberry, dried herbs and a hint of minerality lead to a plush flavors of ripe black and red fruits, and dark chocolate on the palate.
