Crafted from vines planted on a mix of sand and calcareous soils, also called safres in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Pierre Troupel reveals a floral, lively bouquet of dark cherries, cassis, flowers and violet. Medium to full-bodied, sappy and round, it's textured and layered with good depth at the core and a fresh, long and ethereal finish. -WA
