Winemaker Notes
The 2018 Michele Chiarlo Reyna Barbaresco is garnet red with brilliant hues. The nose is noble and complex, of the utmost elegance. Ethereal notes of small red fruits, rose petals and tea leaves aristocratic, remarkable fine tannins and the finish is long, balanced full of flavor.

Aromas of truffle, rose, violet and camphor shape the enticing nose along with a whiff of leather. On the savory, linear palate, bright acidity and polished tannins accompany ripe raspberry, black cherry, tobacco and ground clove.

Lots going on on the nose, with dried cherries and strawberries, colored by sous-bois elements, such as dried leaves and grilled mushrooms. Some brighter dried-flowers, too. Very nebbiolo and compact. Medium-bodied with lightly firm, dusty tannins and a nicely controlled finish. Delicious to drink now, but this will age, too.
