Chateau Pradeaux Bandol Rose 2024 1.5L

Availability: In stock

Tempier is always the benchmark for rose in the Bandol region but for me Pradeaux sits right alongside it!

The Portalis family’s Château Pradeaux is one of France's most iconic estates, full stop, and each spring we eagerly await the arrival of their Bandol Rosé—a true benchmark of the appellation. A blend of roughly 2/3 Mourvèdre and 1/3 Cinsault from vines up to 80 years old that have never been chemically sprayed and which are the closest in Bandol to the Mediterranean Sea, this is the rare Provence rosé that undergoes spontaneous fermentation (not even its most famous neighbors in the appellation can claim that), and its elevage in concrete rather than steel keeps it texturally layered and appetizingly vinous.
