"A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. Fermentation in small, open-top fermenters, followed by a cold soak and gentle extraction of up to 21 days on skins, aged 20 months in nearly 75% new French oak, a departure from the historical regimen of 100% new oak. Aged one year in bottle before release. A charming and lifted nose that has elements of spearmint and sagebrush, accompanied by ripe cherry and spiced plums and blackberry fruit that is tight at the pull of the cork, opening soon with air and revealing enticing tobacco spices with sandalwood. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with more of that savoury herb character emerging as bay laurel. The tannins are super fine-grained with a mocha quality. Long, focused, precise, and fairly lean but with plenty of deep fruit nuance and complexity."
