Sauvignon Blanc rules the white wine roost these days and Loire Valley expressions, specifically Sancerre, have cemented themselves as kings of the hill. Sancerre is now etched in people's consciousness as the measuring stick against which all Sauvignon Blancs are judged. However,  there are other worthy expressions from appellations other than Sancerre that should be considered: Menetou-Salon, Pouilly Fume, Coteaux de Giennois, Reuilly, Touraine, Cheverny and Quincy are notable examples.

On Thursday January 15th we are going to taste some new Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc prospects for the store. Let us teach you how we evaluate wines and how we select new offerings. All while learning just how varied Sauvignon Blanc and the Loire Valley can be. We'll have the wines open from 5-7pm so come when works for you.

Come down and chop it up with me - we'll talk wine and have a pleasant time.
